Participants receive teachings and support for exploring their present experience — with gentle curiosity and appreciation. From that starting point, one can discover what it is to be fully human.

This course asks the question, “Who am I?”, and investigates the sense of self.  It includes teachings on basic goodness, the development of ego, and confidence.

Participants will learn Buddhist teachings on how our sense of self arises moment by moment to provide a reference point.  Meditation practice is used as a way to contact and express the mind of basic goodness.

The course includes video teachings, discussion, contemplation and dialogue exercises.  There are no prerequisites.

The Basic Goodness series introduces the view of Shambhala experientially.  This first in the three-course Basic Goodness Series is meant for new and seasoned meditators alike.
